■What is Local 5G?
Local 5G is a technology that provides a flexible communication area tailored to the individual needs of companies, organizations, and local governments, without being interfered by other communication conditions. It enables the construction of high-speed, large-capacity dedicated networks and secure and safe communications.
Currently, due to the impact of the new coronavirus, changes are required in a variety of situations. Local 5G can be a major foundation for creating systems and services that use ever-evolving IT technology, and it is also important for innovative IT digitalization such as digital transformation (hereinafter referred to as DX).
■Toward Full-Scale Local 5G Solutions
AsiaQuest has launched a business to support the introduction of local 5G to enterprises, and will begin full-scale operations around the fall of this year, when various manufacturers are scheduled to begin providing the infrastructure products necessary for local 5G construction.
In order to introduce local 5G, in addition to the qualification as a telecommunications carrier, it is necessary to apply for a radio station license (Article 4 of the Radio Law), and there are high hurdles to introduction, such as the need to have qualified personnel enrolled.
By providing total support for the introduction of local 5G, we will underpin corporate infrastructure and promote corporate DX support.

AsiaQuest has joined the "docomo 5G Open Partner Program" offered by NTT DoCoMo, Ltd.
The docomo 5G Open Partner Program is an initiative to create new businesses with a wide range of business partners by utilizing 5G, and in addition to sharing information about 5G, it aims to solve problems in various industries by utilizing 5G technology and AsiaQuest's know-how.
