■What is FFS Theory
The FFS (Five Factors & Stress) theory is a personality diagnosis developed in the study of "stress and personality. It is a method of analyzing a person's "thinking-behavior characteristics" by classifying human characteristics into five factors: condensability, receptivity, discrimination, diffusivity, and conservation, and comparing the degree of each factor. This theory can be used for optimal team formation because it enables us to objectively grasp and evaluate not only whether an individual's latent strengths are being demonstrated in a positive or negative manner, but also the relationship between people.
■The use of Personality Diagnostics
In order to realize the president's desire since the company's founding to "create an organization where everyone's individuality comes to life," Asia Quest has introduced personality diagnostics, including the FFS theory. As a specific initiative, all employees take the FFS diagnosis when they join the company, and the results are shared within the company so that any employee can view them.
By sharing the results of the diagnosis within the company, it is possible to mutually understand the factors that each employee possesses, and this has become a common language among employees through one-on-one interviews and daily conversations about what factors are strong in them and their counterparts. This environment has helped employees deepen their self-understanding and mutual understanding, and has further established a corporate culture that respects individuality.
In addition, by introducing the FFS theory from the early stages of the company's establishment, it has become possible to predict in advance issues that may arise as the organization grows, and to deal with them accordingly. Even when problems are likely to occur within a team, the combination of members can be adjusted based on the FFS theory to find possibilities for improvement. AsiaQuest is committed to this approach.
AsiaQuest will continue to push forward with "creating an organization where individuality lives" by making this kind of initiative an important point for strengthening organizational development.
