Self-driving
Self-driving refers to the independent operation of a vehicle by a machine, rather than by a person. There are five levels (0-5) of self-driving as defined by the society of automotive engineers (SAE). Level 0 is all controlled by the driver, and levels 1 and 2 are driver-assistance systems. Level 3 and 4 are self-driving. Level 5 is fully self-driving. This means that Level 3 and above are the defined range of "self-driving". Right now, the majority of vehicles are up to Level 2.
The revolutionary part of self-driving is that it does not cost anything to drive. It costs a lot to drive. It is revolutionary to eliminate the cost of accelerating, braking, turning the steering wheel, constantly checking for safety, etc.
