Omni-Channel Retailing
The distribution channels through which a company delivers its products to customers are called "channels" in marketing terminology, and refers to sales strategies that use multiple channels, such as physical stores, e-commerce sites, catalog sales, and social media. The term "multi-channel" also refers to offering multiple channels to customers, but it has the disadvantage of complicating the management of registration information, such as the need to register for membership each time each channel offers separate and independent services. Omni-channel is linked to improved customer satisfaction, as the same registration information can be used for all services, including physical stores and online shopping, and customers can receive rewards based on the amount of purchases and share points, etc.
