Building a website using HubSpot that helps users to find their ideal rental property

Seibu Building Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Seibu Building) is a community-based company that rents out its own properties in Fukuoka Prefecture. As their services expanded, they considered renewing their corporate website and building a service website that allows users to search for and check properties, and they asked AsiaQuest, which has a rich  experience in developing  real estate systems, to help them.

What is HubSpot?
HubSpot is a platform that provides integrated support for marketing, sales, and customer management. It provides tools that streamline marketing, sales, and customer service, centered around a free CRM. It can be introduced at a low initial cost, and its features include the ability to flexibly expand functions as the business grows, and it is used by many companies.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

Addressing key challenges to expand services and grow the real estate business 

Seibu Building had the following issues with an eye to expanding their own services and growing their real estate business.


Strengthening their response to nationwide expansion

As they expanded their business from Fukuoka prefecture to nationwide, they needed a website capable of handling inquiries from across the country.

Optimizing the management of their own properties

As they expanded their own properties, they needed to establish an efficient management method.

Digitizing brokerage operations and strengthening customer attraction

They needed to build a system for their property search website and strengthen their ability to attract customers.
In order to solve these issues, they considered renewing their corporate website and building a real estate portal site where users can search for and check properties on the internet, and consulted with AsiaQuest.

ROLE

Building a single site with two functions: a corporate website and a real estate portal site

In order to solve the issues faced by Seibu Building, AsiaQuest proposed building a website that is both user-friendly and easy to maintain.Furthermore, based on the customer's requirements, we proposed a specific system, and adopted HubSpot's “Content Hub” for the website section viewed by users of the corporate and real estate portal sites, and AWS (Amazon Web Services) for the management system of the real estate portal site.

 

Adopting a CMS that centralizes marketing and customer management

HubSpot's Content Hub is a CMS offering intuitive usability and strong security. Its simple UI allows site updates and page creation without technical knowledge, reducing the burden of operation.
In addition, it can be linked to HubSpot's MA (marketing) and SFA (sales support) tools, making it possible to streamline marketing measures and sales activities using data on the behavior of website visitors.  
Furthermore, since it also integrates marketing functions such as SEO tools, it can also contribute to strengthening web-based customer acquisition.
Taking advantage of these features, we adopted HubSpot as the foundation to support Seibu Building's nationwide expansion.

 

Achieving a short delivery time using a proprietary HubSpot template

By using a design template developed by AsiaQuest, we were able to achieve an intuitive and easy-to-understand front-end design. This reduced the time and manpower required for implementation, making it possible to develop the site in a short period of time.

The real estate portal site was built using a serverless system that uses HubSpot and AWS

For the property registration, management and search management systems of the real estate portal site, we used AWS services for both front-end and back-end development. To efficiently handle requests from users and administrators, we adopted a serverless architecture that utilizes AWS Lambda.
We used RDS for the database, and connected it to AWS Lambda via RDS Proxy to optimize the connection and improve performance and scalability.
We used Amazon API Gateway to link with the API that is essential for registering properties, and by utilizing external APIs in the front-end and back-end development, we were able to create a function that displays the nearest station to a property quickly when the address is registered on the management screen.
In addition, we used Amazon Cognito for user registration and login functions on the management screen, enabling highly secure authentication.
By adopting this architecture, we have created a system that offers significant benefits to both end users and companies, with end users able to enjoy “high-speed, highly available services” and companies able to achieve “cost optimization, scalability, and reduced operational load”.

A system that quickly processes requests from HubSpot

The property information registered by Seibu Building is obtained using JavaScript within the module function of HubSpot's “Content Hub”, and is displayed dynamically on the page.
In addition, requests from the corporate site are routed to CloudFront via Route 53 DNS settings, enabling high-speed data delivery. This enables smooth browsing even with a large amount of property data, minimizing delays.Furthermore, CloudFront can be linked with AWS WAF, enabling malicious traffic to be blocked and system security to be strengthened.

While based in Fukuoka, Seibu Building is looking to expand its business throughout Kyushu and nationwide. The following effects are expected from the introduction of this system.
